Growing up in a family of daily-wage workers in Tragad, Kavya had no access to textbooks, coaching or a quiet place to study. Her school was chronically understaffed. Dropout felt inevitable.

Through the Shiksha Jyoti scholarship program, Kavya received books, tuition and mentorship from a volunteer engineer. She cleared Class 12 with 91% marks and secured admission to a government engineering college.

First-generation college student. Engineering graduate expected 2029. Now mentoring 3 younger scholarship students.
๐ The Situation
In Khodiyar Village, residents lived 28 km from the nearest hospital. Minor health issues became serious ones. TB was spreading silently. Families depended on unqualified local practitioners.
โก What Changed
Our mobile clinic began quarterly camps. Five early-stage TB cases were identified and treated to full recovery. Now 340 families have health records, regular checkups and referral pathways.
โ The Outcome
0 TB fatalities. 340 families with health records. Village head calls us 'the doctor we always needed.'
๐ The Situation
A widow at 34 with three children, Sunita had no income and no vocational training. She lived on relatives' goodwill and daily uncertainty. Financial independence felt impossible.
โก What Changed
Through Shakti Swarozgar, Sunita completed our tailoring program, formed a Self-Help Group and accessed a microloan to buy two industrial sewing machines. She now employs four women.
โ The Outcome
Monthly income: โน40,000. Four women employed. Repaid microloan in 10 months. Now a training mentor.
๐ The Situation
Viratnagar village had almost no tree cover. Summer temperatures were brutal and water retention in soil was poor. Children had no shade for outdoor activities.
โก What Changed
Through Harit Gujarat, we planted 500 native trees across the village common land, school and homes. A youth eco-club maintains them with weekly watering records and replacement guarantees.
โ The Outcome
500 trees planted, 92% survival after Year 1. School has outdoor shade. Village declared 'eco-model' by district panchayat.

At age 6, Rajan weighed 12 kg โ severely malnourished. His parents, agricultural labourers, couldn't afford nutritious food. He missed 40% of school days due to illness.
โก What Changed
Enrolled in Bal Vikas, Rajan received daily nutrition supplements, health checkups and after-school activities. His parents joined our agricultural training and doubled their harvest income.
โ The Outcome
Weight normalised by Month 8. School attendance now 95%. Won district-level 3km school race at age 9.
๐ The Situation
Dharampur's 400 families had no banking access. Government scheme payments were siphoned by intermediaries. Farmers received cash below MSP and couldn't compare rates.
โก What Changed
Gram Unnati facilitated Jan Dhan account opening, Aadhaar linking and UPI training for 280 families. Farmers formed a cooperative and now sell directly to city buyers via WhatsApp groups.
โ The Outcome
280 families banked. Farmer income up 35% after direct market access. No more payment leakage from middlemen.
